Operation Assist

Giving hope and assisting those recently unemployed by COVID-19

Date: Saturday May 2, 2020 | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Location: KingdomLife Church, 12330 Rolater Rd, Frisco, TX 75035

According to the Texas Workforce Commission, between March 23 and April 4, federal numbers show 745,443 Texans filed for unemployment.  Throughout all of 2019, the Texas Workforce Commission processed about 700,000 unemployment claims.  In less than 3 weeks, more unemployment claims were filed compared to all of 2019.  These numbers are concerning and unfortunate.  Many families will struggle with the task of figuring out how to pay bills and provide for their family during these uncertain times.

At KingdomLife Church, we wanted to figure out a way to serve our community.  When we discovered the staggering numbers, we decided to put together this outreach to assist those who have been recently unemployed due to COVID-19.

Our church members have given monetary donations to start a benevolence fund where money will go towards the purchase of grocery gift cards that will be passed out on the day of the outreach.  We also have a team of people who will pray for those in need of encouragement and hope.

If you have been recently affected by unemployment due to COVID-19, we want to help you.  We invite you to Operation Assist on May 2nd at 10:30 am.  We will provide prayer and grocery gift cards to those in need.

If you would like to give a donation, we encourage you to give a monetary donation.  You can give securely through our website.  In the category section, select "Benevolence".  All money given to Benevolence will be used to purchase grocery gift cards.
